lol i was about to say dangggggggggg filling your portfolio, ay? haha. anyway i like this one too as part of the series, but i like the other ones a little more.. maybe just a teeny bit more contrast, but then again that's just my own personal preference i am high contrast lady.

Gregory Fiedler   {K:15454} 11/27/2003
A very fine abstract! Marvelous focal point.

Isaac Varzim   {K:1047} 11/27/2003
Great detail! Congratulations Altaf!

Emanuele Calvagno   {K:14350} 12/10/2003
molto bella la composizione e la prospettiva data al cancello.
Ottimo uso della profondità di campo.
La cosa che mi piace di più della foto sono le punte delle lance ognuna con un angolo diverso...

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 12/11/2003
A little texture, a little symbolism and lots of low key. I know there wasn't much ambient light, but you ran out of dof, which would have extended the zone of sharpness and benefitted the image.

Please see my autobiography.

Petros Stamatakos   {K:11628} 1/9/2004
I like the composition, the texture, the tone. DOF is a little confusing. Are you trying to make one of the spikes your primary? If so, a different angle perhaps would help isolate and make it pop. ... But that's an other photo all together...

Roger Cotgreave   {K:15892} 1/25/2004
why do I think of corporate business, hell and my bank manager when I see this?...looking good Altaf bent to perfection...it was my local cafe i was in the park outside looking in...ta roger

ken osborn   {K:2997} 4/2/2004
All sorts of symbology in this one, Altaf. Certainly appropriate for San Francisco. Not quite sure how to critique the DOF on this, but the overall image has an impact. Regards, Mister Ken

Bravo and regards from Jan

Very nice mood. Great comp. Did you consider to add some color. Kinda red/yellow or greenish/blueish? Nice job!

Broken fence. And like devil's fork. Good.

Carol Cefalu   {K:7506} 12/31/2004
Very nice! I love this perspective...You have a very unique way of looking at your surroundings and delivering them to the viewer in a very artistic/creative way.

Juliette    {K:585} 12/31/2004
i love it -- 7!

Lily     {K:11009} 5/21/2005
This has a 3 dimensional feel to it. The dof did not bother me, I actually liked it. Maybe crop or clone out the upper right corner.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 5/22/2005
What adds appeal to this image is the fact that pretty much only one of the posts is in focus. The rickety, rustic feel of the image is engaging for me -- it's "dark" in that moody dark sense of the word. It's nice to see you up on the main page for a change. :) Thanks for managing a fantastic site Al. Antonia

Gina Barone Oliver   {K:1011} 5/22/2005
I like it.
Looks like something you'd see
on the cover of a mystery book.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 6/28/2005
This is a favorite - arrows pointing at little different directions. I like the Hasselblad format and the dark feel that you have here... It?s a great abstract in my point of view!

I'm wanting the exposure to be a little brighter on this one.

Anthony Gargani   {K:4524} 3/4/2006
Al,

This is one of my favorites in your portfolio. I really dig this type of shot and the way you executed it.

BTW-if you get this can you *please* drop me an email with info on how I can contact you directly? I couldn't find any direct contact info, and I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks...
