I see corner...big time! Just for that Al from me 7sssssss:)

Andy Eulass   {K:13435} 11/29/2003
Gorgeous work Al. The DOF is particularly nice allowing the bokeh in the foreground and the background to focus attention on the lovely details of the branches. Absolutely breathtaking tonal range as well with great luminosity. Is this a scan of a wet print? Regardless of it being a wet print or not, its great work. Well done.

I like the excellent DOF & contrast here.....great in b/w.....it looks like San Diego???
Ciao, Pia :)

Spencer E.   {K:4032} 11/30/2003
Aye.. the crispness & DOF on this makes me dizzy.... beautiful composition!

Larry Edwards   {K:843} 12/2/2003
Al, this is a VERY nice shot. The only minor change I'd make would be to clone out the distracting sticks, branches and plants or whatever in the foreground. Also, the ocean is slightly out of focus.

Érico Salutti   {K:884} 12/2/2003
belíssima foto!

Bill Ciavarra   {K:10183} 12/3/2003

I don?t really remember if my previous comment was lost or I forgot to comment it, sorry, but certainly I like it a lot!!! It?s very original too, who goes to California to take photos in B/W? ;) Thanks for the EC, but the fact that you liked my photo was also sufficient. Hope you have a nice and relaxing Sunday :) Max

!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually this is very cool. As you know :-)

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 2/16/2004
Ah, the square image! I like the diagonal dividing the picture section into two basic triangles, one predominantly light, the other dark. The succulent plants are sharp, standing out against the soft background. Although, it doesn't resemble MY part of California, which is farther east and much drier. I visit the coast when I can!

Lex Bronkhorst   {K:14152} 3/27/2004
I think this shot is even better than VII becose there is more 'life' in this one, more plants and the focus is superb! The blurry background is excellent just like the other one, but i like the black and white plants! Superb, my compliments on this wonderfull shot! Briljant!
greets, lex..

Jani Salvataggio   {K:26829} 5/20/2004
wonderful composition!!!!!
regards
Jani

Hi Altaf; this is actually the first time to look into your UF portfolio. I'm very pleased. Great control, very articulate with the instrument, and a freer sense (for lack of a better word).

This place looks very familiar ;^)

Di Ciuccio Maurizio   {K:57483} 6/24/2004

Giuliano Guarnieri   {K:34319} 8/12/2004
Hello Altaf,
I've just seen the forum so I took the occasion to visit your portfolio
I've choose this one because I like very much B&W (as you can see from my portfolio :-) ) and because I like very much the composition.
Only the tones leave me a little bit strange, for my personal opinion the shadows are too close and the mid tones are too flat.
How did you develop this film?

Bye

Giuliano

Patrick Jacobson   {K:29151} 9/23/2004
Great composition and use of DOF! Love how one can see the see and the mountain in the background. Superb tones and light. Great framing. Love the pattern the bush/floral is doing.. like a hand reaching up the sky!

Great shot!

Cheers

Patrick J
