nice shot with a sad mood. One can tell from the fresh flowers that something happened . I also like the other portions of the flower scattered on the ground too.

Hi, Steven..this is a very original composition and you make great use of the neutral tones of cement and pine needles, it definately makes one think about the rose and why it's on the ground, especially during the holiday season. You did something in the processing that's caused a separation of tones in the leaves closest to the rose. You have dark green and light green but they don't blend. Also, and i have this problem when i shoot sand or cement, the particles are a bit too contrasty. i can't see enough of the texture of the concrete to "feel" it with my eyes. But overall, this is a very lovely image with a wonderful title. Congrats..kat~
