Debbie, I like the simplicity of this. The 2-tone colours work well, and the poles lead the eye into the photo.

I don't, it seems to me that there is a slight colour cast on this one, judging by the tone of the sand that doesn't look quite natural (looks greenish).
As for the poles, I would have gone for something even simpler, I think the nets (?) don't add much to the picture.
But it's a good effort, keep going! :)
