This is the kind of dramatic lighting that makes us reach for our camera, The light here is very good and you have captured that aspect very well.As often in theses scenarios we aren't fortunate enought to find that extra element that raise our image to a higher level. A slightly different viewpoint or a figure ( a cyclist or horseman perhaps) coming towards us picked out by the light. I find that the dark area of tarred road detracts from the magic here.
