About Taken at the same place as the other water balloon fight picture...the sun is a major problem, however, I like how the beads of water look...not a great pic but I thought I'd share it anyways...I think the water beads are cool.

Not too sure what to tell you here. The flare really washed out the image, unless the flare was the subject. If that's the case there are a lot of balloons and people and other distracting elements scattered about. ;-)

You could try removing any "protective" filter from your lens, use a simply designed lens like a 50/1.8, and make sure your lens is very clean if you want to decrease flare. A hood wouldn't help you at all in this case.

Nice, but crop tight on the central column of soldiers to eliminate the cars. Here's my suggestion:
