Beautiful landscape and DOF is great, everything is pretty sharp even to infinity. Curious what setting you use to get this kind of DOF.

Thanks Nick! In normal conditions I tend to shoot on "landscape" mode on my camera, which I guess is basically an aperture priority mode trying to give good DOF, and I just keep an eye on the shutter speed it gives me and make an adjustment if necessary, mostly in low light. This is a pretty wide angle shot, so the DOF is going to be pretty good. Don't know if that is helpful, but it's the best I can do I think! Regards! :)

Absolutely stunning composition, and so beautiful colours and freschness. The only thing that "bothers" me a little bit is the over exposed clouds. It would really be superb if they had details.

Nikon F65 is a classic camera! How do you scan pictures? I can't make them this sharp and colorfull with my scaner.

Thanks for all the very kind comments! I am (pleasantly) surprised by the reaction to this picture; I hadn't expected it to be one of my most popular landscapes. Andrej, I'm not sure if I can be much help about the scanning. I use a pretty average scanner (Black Widow 4830PP if that means anything to anyone!) and just scan pretty much on automatic unless anything funny is happening. I don't bother scanning at particuarly high resolution, just enough to get a reasonable image without it taking up much file space! Regards :)

Great picture, Phil, except for the blown out clouds. A cropping would solve this.
Also, I always like to frame my pictures (even if it's just a line surrounding the picture), it helps it not to look like 'floating about' in the page.
See attached pic for a suggestion.
