A beautiful capture. The colors of the ice never cease to amaze me. Regards.

Bella e drammatica ma nello stesso tempo rappacificante. tanti auguri per un buon anno nuovo. cecilia

Dramatic. I love the coloring, not at all monotome, but giving that impression! If one were to paint this, Paynes Gray would be the color of choice. This is a beautiful work. I particularly enjoy the depth created by the layers.

Jon, this is a very majestic shot! The awesome power of nature, I shiver just imagining being there when you took this.

Thank you so much for your honest critique of my photo, personally I thought it was junk too, it?s just sort of a test to see if people are really looking at these images and giving them an accurate rating. I guess I?m just frustrated with the politics of here, seems people are too afraid to be honest at the risk that others will take offense and trash their portfolio.
Thanks Again
~Mike

I have seen this myself and was amazed at the force that hits the water...the beautiful blue of the glacier seems a bit lost here, though I realize it was overcast and a bit foggy perhaps...this image (if it were mine) would be a candidate for some toning and contrast work..a little bit soft on the glacier but with enough detail to pull ou by minor sharpening...excellent composition...hope we will see more...and a very Happy New Year to you...
