About The place is called the White Desert, western of Egypt, full of thousands of this limestone mashrom rocks, carved by the fast wind carrying the sand moving at a lower altitude, sculpting this huge mashroms all around the place... wish if I had more time to spend there, lighting would have been much better.

Wow! it looks like an iceberg

Good compossition and I love the angle. The sky is very dark. This is probably due to to much adjustment of the polarize filter. The dark sky distracts from the image.

Pretty amazing. The sky probably is over-polarized, but I love the contrast.

Barbara A. Novak   {K:306} 11/18/2002
this is an attention grabber for certain! I wonder if the 'over polarized' sky is not a good thing and actually balances the black shadow? without the dark sky, the shadow might draw too much attention.
I do like the rocks in the distance--gives some kind of comparison.
Terrific shot!

I also think the sky is over polarized. although the blue contrasts very well with the warm and orange tones of the "mushroom".
Very nice photo !
