WOW, you've got a real winner here. Wonderful colors and mood. Great job!

Sue O'S   {K:12878} 11/17/2002
Oh, cool! The thumbnail does not do this one justice. Hope you made a print of this, cuz it's marvelous.

Eric Goldwasser   {K:4294} 11/17/2002
This is an excellent shot! The colors are beautiful! The mist gives it an almost fantastical feeling...

And Susan is right, the thumbnail does NOT do it justice. :-)

This is a very beautiful image... I feel like I'm readinga fantasy novel... and all the mysterious creaters are coming out from the mest... the colors, the mood, the details in the forground and the build up in the background adds to the drama... Wonderful...

Another beautiful images with rich colors. What do you think about a panoramic version?? The foreground here does not seem to compliment the rest of the softness, or dreamlike appearance in my opinion. Just an idea...great shot!

sunrise in the fog, just doesn't get any better does it Greg.
nice image, very soft and serene, and lovely colors

Greg Summers   {K:1115} 11/17/2002
Vincent - hadn't thought of it - one shows as if I was flying - one is framed and more grounded - in the high res scan - tmakes much more sense to have the foreground - in the jpeg - it's a little like a jagged fence

Deb Mayes   {K:19605} 11/17/2002
While I see what Vincent means (and appreciate seeing it), I prefer the original version. Somehow the foreground "grounds" the dreamlike quality of the rest. Beautifully done!

Chelsea Burke   {K:5679} 11/17/2002
Ditto for preferring the original. Lovely scene, nice colours.

Steven B. Poitinger   {K:1757} 11/17/2002
Another keeper Greg. Love the mood created here. Nice exposure.

Christian Gennert   {K:790} 11/17/2002
I see you have found your niche, Greg! Good work!

Gary Martin   {K:579} 11/17/2002
I like your composition quite a lot Greg. I think it would have been even a little more effectdive if the sun were moved just a tad to the right to center it a little better on the tree trunk. The fog creates a wonderful mood and when I look at this photo, I can seem to agree with Vincent's comment about the silhouetted plants in the foregrond not fitting. I think the anchor the image quite well and I personally would crop them out either in the viewfinder or after the fact for whatever my opinion's worth.

Bryce Hughes   {K:2957} 11/17/2002
ok heres my 2 cents..
if theres to be any sort of crop i think it should be just enough to take off those last bits of reed/grass that are seperated from the rest of the crowd, but still Vincents and this one are fine and dandy on their own :)
i'd buy one...

This is an amazing photo. I love the fog and colors of the fog. I also think the sun is well placed. Excellent work.

Make that a "magical" moment of wonder, Greg. Your patience in waiting for the "perfect moment", coupled with your excellent technique, has combined to create many such magical compositions. In fact, the reason I've joined usefilm.com is so that I can keep track of your work. My compliments.

Greg Summers   {K:1115} 11/19/2002
Frank - that is just about the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my work - thank you.

Scott Carver   {K:690} 11/28/2002
Its amazing how the weather can give you such great effects. Great shot

Bart Aldrich   {K:7614} 12/3/2002
