This is an excellent shot! The colors are beautiful! The mist gives it an almost fantastical feeling...

This is a very beautiful image... I feel like I'm readinga fantasy novel... and all the mysterious creaters are coming out from the mest... the colors, the mood, the details in the forground and the build up in the background adds to the drama... Wonderful...

Another beautiful images with rich colors. What do you think about a panoramic version?? The foreground here does not seem to compliment the rest of the softness, or dreamlike appearance in my opinion. Just an idea...great shot!

Vincent - hadn't thought of it - one shows as if I was flying - one is framed and more grounded - in the high res scan - tmakes much more sense to have the foreground - in the jpeg - it's a little like a jagged fence

While I see what Vincent means (and appreciate seeing it), I prefer the original version. Somehow the foreground "grounds" the dreamlike quality of the rest. Beautifully done!

I like your composition quite a lot Greg. I think it would have been even a little more effectdive if the sun were moved just a tad to the right to center it a little better on the tree trunk. The fog creates a wonderful mood and when I look at this photo, I can seem to agree with Vincent's comment about the silhouetted plants in the foregrond not fitting. I think the anchor the image quite well and I personally would crop them out either in the viewfinder or after the fact for whatever my opinion's worth.

ok heres my 2 cents..
if theres to be any sort of crop i think it should be just enough to take off those last bits of reed/grass that are seperated from the rest of the crowd, but still Vincents and this one are fine and dandy on their own :)
i'd buy one...
