perfect. i can't think of anything else to say. the ray of light landing on the woman...that's what does it for me.

Mary Sue Hayward   {K:17531} 11/17/2002
This is fantastic, it has a transcendant quality. It appears as if your wife is being annointed by the light.

Steven B. Poitinger   {K:1757} 11/17/2002
Thanks for all the generous comments. No problem John M., my wife is as bald as they come (chemotherapy) so it's an honest mistake. It's also the reason the light is so well reflected :)

Christian Gennert   {K:790} 11/17/2002
I hope Spock did?nt beamed her up ;).
A very well seen shot, good work. As always Steven!

Ron Browne   {K:1282} 11/17/2002
Wonderful piece of artwork Steven. Contrast seems perfect to me. I can only imagine the tonality of a well made print. I also can only imagine what this must mean to you. Thank you for posting! Added to my favorites.

Bryce Hughes   {K:2957} 11/17/2002

Chris Whaley   {K:3844} 11/18/2002
I'm not sure if this was your intention but it screams conceptual and i love it.

Beverly Gustafson   {K:3058} 11/18/2002
Stunning and very, very moving. Why is there no ribbon on this????? Thank you for sharing with us Steven.

Chris Blaszczyk   {K:610} 11/18/2002
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Blaszczyk   {K:610} 11/18/2002
OK. After screaming for a bit... this is great. My only question is Why is it tilted? You could have tilted this more or not at all. It looks a bit like one of those computer games, but desaturated. Cool effect. The light is very, very nice. Great control.

Steven B. Poitinger   {K:1757} 11/19/2002
Thanks again for all the encouraging comments. Chris B., I wasn't that aware of the tilt here, but once it was mentioned I started to notice a few oddities. Some parts of the image look like they could use a clockwise turn a few degrees and others look like they should go the other way. What direction were you thinking?

Mary Sue Hayward   {K:17531} 11/19/2002
Congrats on the EC for this incredible and moving image of your wife. I am so glad to see that ribbon on this!

Steven B. Poitinger   {K:1757} 11/19/2002

this is fantastic! So good use of the light! Excellent photo!!

james mckenna   {K:6535} 5/2/2003
interesting redo of that duane michels shot of the guy whose head is lost in a ball of light. not sure whether your wife is just posing as exhausted and/or uninterested, but that's a neat twist. I think I'd like the room darker and her more burned out, but i then like drama.

LIM CH   {K:1605} 5/2/2003
l like the way the ray of light shown on your wife, did you ask her to pose like this or is it your quick reaction and good eye, nice atmoshphere

Elin M   {K:842} 5/20/2003
This looks very religious, almost like the person has had a vision.

Good composition and planning behind this!

sandy c. hopkins   {K:17107} 10/24/2003
fantastic!

Matej Matus   {K:201} 3/13/2005
I love the light shining over her head. Great concept really.

Angelica Tass   {K:182} 10/2/2005
A very interesting and mysterious image, full of surreal meaning. A very successful image if you shot this image from a tourist visit. I hope your wife was totally recovered. Best regards, Angelica.
