Truly one of the best flower shots I have seen in a long time. I use Olympus OM cameras and this photo reminds me of the legendary 90mm f2 macro lens... unfortunately my Canon G3 can't match this sort of macro performance. A beautiful photo made with legendary optics. Congratulations :)

Mary this just came up on the top of the page....I remember you brining this to my live sessions but I never saw it here....this is one fantastic shot....I remember all the incarnations we went through on this and this image clearly makes you a "King of Macro" Flowers (remember if the Queen had Balls she'd be the King) and this image has plenty of BALLS..........what a totally creative thought process and aplication to show this much of the flower this tightly cropped and to pull it off so perfectly.... Please do try shooting some macro images. It can be quite addictive. Flowers always make interesting subjects. But once you get the macro bug, almost anything can make good photographic subject material.

Steve, I shot this image over four years ago, so I don't recall the specifics about aperture, etc.
The E10 has a fixed zoom lens, so obviously that was the lens used. I might have used a macro diopter, but really can't recall. It seems like I did use one, but has been too long to remember for sure.
