Nice Smile, but i dunno bout the ears?!?

Adam E. J. Squier   {K:9803} 11/23/2002
I'm not sure what you mean by your criticism. If it's "get a different model" then OK, I understand that you'd turn down work rather than work with what you're given. If it's "why didn't you do something about that," then please offer a suggestion or two.

I'd venture to say that every subject of mine has something, er, physically undesirable (at least to themselves) and it's my job to minimize that, right?

After all, we all want to "paint our subject in a good light," to paraphrase the meaning of "photograph."

nice, clear portrait

She is a cute young girl. Give me a break about the ears; we are rating pictures, not people.

Sin Vida Padre   {K:3331} 7/19/2003
the photo is very good for family photo album, as the most photos of the authors. It is free photosite and everyone has equal right to place anything what they want. I exspressed in my critics so many times my opinion about photoart. If you take a camera to your hand always think why you are doing that. If you still took a photo it is not a reason to show it everyone else. I am sure that the most my colegues photographers dump 95% of their photo work out! It is not a terrible photo, but it is nice and cute girl will be a great accet in the family album or on the wal of her parents. I don't rate this photo for the reason that IT IS NOT APPLICABLE to the userfilm.com Gregory McKnight, in your statement: She is a cute young girl. Give me a break about the ears; we are rating pictures, not people." you are not logical..you still focusing on how this girl is cute...

OK, I've had some time to think about this a bit. I just have to agree to disagree with Sin Vida Padre. I cannot fathom why this portrait is not applicable to usefilm.com.

I agree that just because a photo is taken, that doesn't mean it should be shown. This was one of the better ones from this shoot. I know it's pretty good. Not to be cocky in any way, but that's why people come to me for their portraits.

Can someone explain why anyone would think this image doesn't belong on usefilm?

Hi Adam,

I see where you're coming from, but don't worry too much about it. A satisfied customer is a good measure of success. I honestly don't understand the commentary either. Keep on working! Ratings suck, blah,blah...
