It truly is a golden moment. The foggy light is magically caught in a fine composition. You must be the king of Sawhill Pond photogs greg.

Anne E. M. Zang   {K:4135} 11/22/2002
I like this a lot. In fact, I like the top 85% so much that I feel like the snow at the bottom is taking away from the great effects you got with the fog, colors, and reflection above it. Just one opinion in the masses. Great job.

ali fish   {K:313} 11/22/2002
Lovely yellow colour. It has a fantasy feel.

Steve Mekata   {K:610} 11/22/2002
there's a wonderful quality to this one. The addition of a bit of foreground is a nice touch. As far as nits are concerned, I wish that fg twig wasn't there and that there'd be a little separation between the tree reflection and the fg.

Kim Culbert   {K:37013} 11/22/2002
Very magical, but I agree with Anne about the snow in the fg. Too bad there wasn't a way around it! Still, another amazing shot!

Aiman Nassar   {K:11961} 11/22/2002
Magic.

I saw this one on your website and thought that it was the best of them all. The snow only adds another very special element in my opinion. This is amazing! (10

Greg, you have become one of my favorite photographers. All of your photos are great, this one included.

Carmen Fuchs   {K:66} 11/22/2002
Magical in every sense of the word.

Greg...if I had to pick 3 favorites of your work this would be among them....this has a slight coolness to it and at the same time a great warmth...almost spiritual. If I could view a sight like this each morning I would start each day with a smile.....thanks for the smile.

Markos Berndt   {K:382} 11/22/2002
I wouldn't remove the snow area, it gives you a sense of what time of year it is, and its such a beautiful snow area to. I think to really understand this image it needs to be seen at a larger size than the posting limits. Its one of the better images I have had the pleasure of viewing.

Steven B. Poitinger   {K:1757} 11/22/2002
And the "hits" just keep on coming! What a collection Greg. This is great, I like the depth the foreground adds (twig is a nitpick, but I agree) and I much prefer this shot over the similar one (11/18 post) with the sun reflected in the water.

Marc Gougenheim   {K:5398} 11/22/2002
To me, this is really something special: a landscape photograph with a real soul to it. A "romantic" soul, I would say. Great work. Regards.

Kevin Lanthier   {K:5204} 11/25/2002
Absolutely remarkable.

Oddly, I really like the tree off to the left, as subtle as it is standing next to the glorious yellow light I think that tree on the left, the way it fades off into the fog really closes the image up and helps it feel complete. I think if it did the same on the right side it would be even better. It's own little world.

paul durrant   {K:1047} 2/12/2003
wonderful shot. how did you work out the exposure here? i would have bracketed heavily i think.

Luigi Scuderi   {K:4407} 3/21/2003
magic mood, great landscape here! regards, Luigi
