About This is not a night shot - it was shot at sunrise when the sky is bright enough to get some color. I spot metered off the moon. I was on a ridge about 400 feet wawy that runs parallel to this ridge - I under exposed to create silhoettes of the trees and get maximum detail int he moon. Another stop or a few more minutes and the sky would lighten and the sun would have revealed detail in the trees as in a previous shot.

Great..That has got to be the best shade of blue.

Greg, they don't get a whole lot better than this. Obviously you've technically nailed the exposure in capturing precisely what you wanted. The detail on the moon is excellent. The silhouetted trees against the blue sky work exceedingly well in my opinion.
