About This is the original colour version of my Lone Walker picture. Many people commented on the black and white conversion of this, so I wonder what you will think of the colour version.

Hi Sarah,
Beautiful picture, DOF and everything. I think I'd like it better with less sky and if the walker is not in the center of the picture.

I like the huge sky which emphasizes the loneliness of the walker. The horizontal split between the land and the sky is quite effective. My only problem is with the over-saturated middle part of the sky.

Thanks Petra and Cemal for your comments.

The filter made the sky that shade of blue, which I quite like. The larger area of sky was intended to give the feeling of space - hopefully it works.
As for the walker being in the centre, see my black and white version for the explanation of that.
Cheers.

Sarah

Hi, Sarah - Love the effect of the huge sky dwarfing the figure - this would have fit in the "alone" catagory as well. :) Along those lines, I have no real problem with the figure being in the center - he/she is definitely alone in the center of their own universe.

Hi Sarah, I think this is quite lovely. The polarizer brought out the blue of the sky. The walker does not bother me as it adds to the composition for me. ~Kim:)

You know Sarah, everytime I take a look at you pics, I see alot of improvement. Not the the Past pics where bad, no, just a change to perfection. I mean you now have a mastery of a PL filter. I really love the shot. i prefer it to the monochromized version. You also reayll se the power of a Kodak royal film. my suggestion it to now try the Kodak Supra
