You seem to have some viginetting going on here. It looks like you used a lens hood and an extreme wide angle lens. But, I dont see any of the viginetting at the top or bottom of the photo.

A crop may be in order to remove the black from the left and right of the photo.

The barn itself is worthy of a shot all by itself. Maybe another angle to get rid of the fence enclosure. A little brightning would help and a touch more contrast. All in all, a good shot!

I think this is a great photo! I liek the topic and the fact that it is in black and white gives it a good effect. I agree with Dale pretty much... maybe adding a little more contrast would help. But all in all I like the subject of the photo... nice job!

Zach,

I think you have a good eye here. I like this image but I do think there is a couple of things that could be done to help it. First there is some distracting objects in the frame, like the tree and dog cage. What I would suggest is cropping them out and focusing on the front of the building. Also try toneing the image as this can add an oldtime feel to it.

I am attaching to help show what I was thinking.

Zach;

It's just fine the way it is. I love these shots
of old farm buildings. Nice capture

Hi Zack,
Thanks for your comment on my balloons in the tree. I really like this shot of the old barn or shed. You did a good job at capturing this old structure. I think the pen connected to the shed and the large tree on the right are appealing in this shot. As Dale suggested a little crop on each side would help it. I would leave everthing else as is.
Regards,
Jimmy

I personally like this shot a lot and the other elements add to the reality of the picture. I don't know a single farm that doesn't have a dog in it. And the tree is a great framing element. But then again you're probably just trying to be as great as I am... j/k
