if you can't control the light, do it in Photoshop(it take 10 min)

I Really like the dark look, It gives her a mysterious yet exotic look, If this was the look you were going for, you nailed it! Dont be afraid to deviate from the norm!

the 'dark look' as already used as an expression, is certainly a worthwhile objective for this image. However, what would it perhaps improve the portrait if one were to crop out the competitive surroundings and leave the face to do its wok all alone? The portrait is very nice, but the somewhat complicated surroundings make it harder to actaully conceentrate on the face. Good work.

The background should be made brighter though.
