In Transit   {K:29376} 1/20/2004
Although the capture is very well executed, I wonder whether some slight PS adjustment to the light bulb and the tone of the last flight is worth considering...

Tomasz Sarna   {K:1775} 1/20/2004

Best regards Tom.

Wonderful composition! Perhaps the highlights in the area of visible stairs could show a bit of detail, but that is just a minor thing in this aesthetically pleasing picture.

Tim Long   {K:9222} 3/8/2004
Great vortex, Paul, and so well composed off-center. The architectural images in your portfolio are wonderful. I tend to turn away from man-made objects when I'm shooting... perhaps a grave error! Regards.
Tim

B:)liana    {K:30945} 3/9/2004
Good one. great spiral ;-)
Thank you dear Paul
Kiss, biliana

Daniel Guerin   {K:7952} 3/9/2004
I like your use of patterns. You seem to have an eye for spiral pattern - I probably walk past loads everyday and don't even see them! I especially like how you mirrored those same patterns in your stack of books. Good work.

Alexey Sapa   {K:27168} 3/9/2004
Lovely picture! My best wishes! Alexey.

King Chung   {K:175} 4/5/2004
Another example of spiral stairway. Compare and comments appreciated.

coskun o   {K:1812} 5/26/2004
I just realized that...
Although it is more dangerous, I like to run down a stairway. It is fast and excites me much.

I liked this one, it looks like a stairway of a luxury hotel or a club house. If so, nobody would probably like to see me running down and up :)

The overexposed areas are OK, you may not have a good light. However, more focus on the upper part of the rail would be better.

Thank you.

Rainer Pawellek   {K:1033} 6/4/2004
Very good Paul. I'm still searching for this sort of stairway here in my place :)))

Dmitriy Margolin   {K:2318} 6/8/2004
I like combination of over exposed and under exposed parts of this photograph !! Great view of spiral stairs !!

Luiz Luxvich   {K:294} 6/15/2004
Amazing composition. Really an great image. Congrats.

Reda Danaf   {K:11909} 6/19/2004
Great perspective, well seen and well taken.

Nicklas Tininenko   {K:57} 6/23/2004
Nice image...good balance and lighting..other than bulb at bottom (a little distracting) and galleries would probably criticize the out of focus foreground, but personally, I like it for a sense of depth.

Paul's Photos   {K:34954} 6/23/2004
Nicklas, thanks for the comment.. i understand what your saying about the light bulb... for me it is not distracting because it draws the eye to the center.. but that is just my opinion :) the out of focus part.. yeah, I agree, but not much I could do since it was very low light and I was hand holding the camera. If I was using a tripod, I would have had everything in focus.

José Vasconcelos Dias   {K:9189} 7/12/2004
Nice angle and the colors are great. Congrats

Murilo Rafael de Souza   {K:19577} 7/18/2004

Great composition Paul! I love the light and depth. Well done! db

Karen Ferranti   {K:2953} 11/19/2004
I know you made the comment about running down stairs in May. Just saw it and it reminded me of when I used to walk up Stone Mountain as a teenager and run down. It is 1.3 miles to the top. The fun was dodgeing and jumping all the rocks and boulders on the way down. I am probally very lucky that I did not break my leg.

Karen Ferranti   {K:2953} 11/19/2004
Very nice shot. I love the staircase. I think you were at the perfect spot.

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 11/19/2004

Cheers,

MaLuisa

James Hager   {K:6285} 12/6/2004
Fantastic composition! I love that you have so much of the grill work on the left. Where is it?

Paul's Photos   {K:34954} 12/6/2004
James.. thanks for your comments... glad that you like it. It was taken in the Palace of Versailles..it was easy to miss as you walk around looking at the artwork and all the other great architecture...

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59974} 9/14/2005
Beautiful Paul!
