Very powerful, emotive shot. I am very impressed, you can almost feel what he feels. I also like the high contrast of it.

Excellent lighting-you are right about the boy, he does remind of someone out of a Dickens novel-all soot faced.

Great and expressive portrait dear ROger, but tell me how come the portraits are so hard to be appreciate, regarding the viewers and ratings and comments, as I admire your work, and your special and unique touch for PORTRAITS.
Kiss to you my sweet Roger.

Your "about" meets my mind too... it says exactly what I'm thinking... gorgeous little boy, and I love "Marmite" - that's what we call it here... it's the growing up spread, and you either love it or you loath it
Beautiful image... right I'm off to make a sandwich :)
