I don't usually comment on portraits but this one to me is particularaly expressive. It brings to mind all kinds of things she could be thinking about.
I can't say much about the Photoshop effects; I'm unsure what this would look like without them.

I think that the original shot was better than what I see here. I feel the filters didn't add anything - all the contrary, Marc... My personal view on filters is this:
Either you make sure they are very obvious and make the image look like a painting or such in a very spectacular way. Either you just make sure they don't appear at all for what they are. Here, I feel you went half-way. The original was nice though... Regards.

Marc, I like this photo of the woman very much. The pose and the lighting work well (in my opinion) to create an intimate mood with the subject. Well done. I wasn't aware of the PS filters until you mentioned it in your description - and I think that is the mark of skillful use of the filters. Sam
