First I thought of using this one in this tryptich.(third one still to come) On second thought, I think the current photo fits better. Your recommendations and comments are appreciated!

Cheers, and thanks for you comments,

Hugo

Hugo, you made the right decision on this photo. The composition and model's expression is very good. I especially like what you did youing a large aperture and it's affect on the DOF - REALLY like that!! Top notch stuff!!! Regards, Dan

Love the selective focus and colors in this one,Hugo....well done!

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 1/23/2004
Beautiful portrait. The mood is expressed very well. I love the way you focused on the face, the eyes. Very nice work.

Wonderful coloration and choice of focus on this one. Being a redhead myself I know that you've chosen the perfect blue/green/gray color to accent those marvelous golden reds. I think I might have liked it just a bit better if she wasn't holding something in her hand so we could see her lips. Love the cropping and her eyes looking out of the frame give her a little attitude that is very natural. I struggle with portraits but this has given me some ideas. Thanks.

A great work !
ciao !
Tommaso.

Top werk.
Tim.

I'm sure the current photo is better.. (than the one you show in the comments) I like it a lot.. Pitty though that the eyes are a bit soft. But besides that.. Great shot!

Eduardo Bernardes   {K:8999} 1/24/2004
I like this very much. Beautifull eyes expression.

Congrats, Eduardo

Hello Hugo!

I somehow agree with Bets and you certainly gave me some ideas about my portraits too!
I think you made a good choice uploading this image and you really chosed perfect colors, lightning and DOF! Most of all I like DOF and her expression... To bad about the lips... It might be better is they were there...

MaryBell    {K:32791} 1/25/2004
contemplative with much better control of the light...current one is better...

kiss, Biliana

Intense and delicate, excellent work. The plane is subdivided into two parts the hands in front and the eyes behind, the ligth on the left the shadown on the rigth; I like it very much. Ciao Alessandro.

what a portfolio...full up with so many interesting shots, so much experimenting - very inspiring. this one is no doubt among my favourites. the focus/lack of focus is just perfect. and the framing is exactly how is should be to enhance her expression.
this is excellent!
congrats

HUGO!! You only wrote THREE WORDS about this???
Not like you....

Lovely photograph, I absolutely love the lighting...nice and warm. This goes wonderful with the warm color of her hair, and the slight bit of blue in the background.

Normally I do not like hands closer to the viewer than the face because of proportion; however, in this case, it works wonderfully since they are out of focus...PERFECT my friend!!

But best of all...her expression. IT SPEAKS!

Good job indeed,
Lori :)

ps (now get rid of that tiny white speck on her forehead, it's driving me crazy..LOL)

Maya Bylina   {K:5925} 3/27/2004
