nice bright picture.. Makes me feel all summerish and aweak (although that cup of coffee might have somthing to do with it too..;) Nice colors. Only the red from the leaves seems a bit blown out in places.. Nevertheless a nice shot!

Johnny K   {K:12635} 1/25/2004
Excellent colors and very bright photo !!!

Massimo Di Maggio   {K:-56794} 1/25/2004
Hmmmm? a lamp on a wall!!! It remind me something ;) The lamp is really interesting and beautiful, but the real subjects here are the splendid red leaves, they create a wonderful contrast with the bright wall and the dark lamp, very well composed and lighted. Bye Max

Graciela Pierre   {K:7318} 1/25/2004
I also like lamps, but I agree with Massimo, the red leaves are really beautiful in this shot. Great job!
Regards from Buenos Aires

Hugo I, II, III is back!
Version I - a beautiful street lamp with lots of leaves posing around it... A hard light to emphasise texture...
II - ???? (see? this is why I like so much your I,II,III style!)

Excellent capture! Red colors in the leaves give an attractive look to this beautiful picture. Very well done and composed.

Prima foto.
Lex

Brilliant indeed. The composition, contrast in colors, lighting is perfect for this photo. Well done Hugo!

MaryBell    {K:32791} 1/26/2004
Brilliant red leaves - however, I have to disagree with everyone - they could be the best focal point but as the day was bright and they have hotspots - they are too busy - eliminate the hot-spots and then you have it...

Tommaso Razzano   {K:8067} 1/26/2004
Yes I agree with Massimo ... the constrast of the leaves agains the wall is wonderful...
A very good composition !
Ciao !
Tommaso.

I have a passion for red leaves in autumn...and in this time of the year, that all is so empty I miss them a lot.

I like your idea and series, I hope you keep on still with other wonderful shots like this.
...the only remark...that blue frame...

Paolo Barthelemy   {K:24873} 1/26/2004
Great composition with the lamp perfectly inserted inside the brilliant background. Beautiful natural lighting too.
Best regards, Paolo

It's strange to have sunny day in Oxford....you are very lucky Hugo!!!
Very well composed and great sharpness between lamp and red leaves background
Thank you Hugo for your comment I appreciated it so much and I think you right.
Still to erase the logo will be usefull but I think the commitence will not glad about it!
Paolo

compositionally speaking, this is a perfect shot. i just wish that it was a clearer, crisper exposure. nice shadows and lighting. it would be interesting to see what it would have looked like if you went to this place later in the day

Zsolt Radákovits   {K:7763} 3/15/2004
Perfect shot!
Nice details and superb composition! Regards, Radák

Lori Stitt   {K:74434} 7/23/2004
I like this one the best.
Love the diagonal composition
Wish the lower part of the building
weren't so burned out, but that's
just the time of day.

Nice work, Hugo,
Lori :)
