About In the early part of the industrial revolution, Europeans controlled production because they were the only ones who could make the machines that turned water power into useful work. However, early emigrees to New England took with them the plans (often stolen) to reproduce these mechanical wonders. Soon mills sprouted up along the rivers in my part of the world, and this was the beginning of industrial domination by the northern states, an era that has since ended.

This photo is an attempt to capture such a place in the present through the eyes of the past.

i am studying now in sociology the impact of the industrial revolution as it pertains to revolution of a people as a whole..as far as unions..racism..and enclaves often created by these places closing up shop and going elsewhere..
