Thanks again EVERYONE for your very generous comments but I'm not sure I deserve them.
I think the softness with the image is motion blur rather than focus as I took this hand held at 1/25 second. I should have adjusted for ISO 200 at 1/50 second so my cameras antishake could have eliminated movement. The shot was taken in what is called, "The Living Rainforest" which is in a large glasshouse and has lowish lighting levels.
