I lookt a bit around in your portfolio and i am impressed. Wonderfull photos, keep going. I agree with you that this is a beautifull flower. And the picture of the flower is great to, good focus on the most important part of the flower, the red. Great job.

Great picture Luther. I have been trying to take one of the bottlebrush in our garden (I think yours is a bottlebrush) but not had a good capture. Your certainly does it justice. Just for fun here is one of mine.

It's unusual to find the Lehua flower in an almost perfect sphere. It's native Hawaiian with the scientiific name "Metrosideros polymorpha" . This one was found on Coconut Island, Kaneohe Bay, Oahu..
Thanks for the photo of the bottlebrush tree, "Callistemon rigidus". The red variety of both, Lehua and Bottlebrush flowers are almost the same color.
