Several of you asked about the traffic control light. Here's a shot of it before editing:

Great series Harlan, every time I see the little lights with their funny hats on it makes me smile. Well seen as the others, and possibly the strangest control lights I've seen! I mean how would I understand what it means? I can't even drive a car anyway! It looks all very alien to me... but I like that :)

MaryBell    {K:32791} 2/2/2004
ah, so you toned it - I thought it was a broken light that you had fun shooting at various stages...

Marília Ferraz   {K:-4496} 2/2/2004
Are you shooting traffic control lights, Harlan?
This is a crime!
Love these strange creatures that look so much as aliens.
Your mind is terrific (that is good).

you are very creative and full of ideas. a great picture.

That's exactly how I thought this shot would be. I mean... as for the burning lights.
After seeing the previous shot, it seemed a logic thing to me, although I still don't understand how these control lights work.
Anyway, thanks for adding the untouched photo.
I like this one more than the others just on account of the many lights, which make this a colourful image. Great series Harlan
