hey now...

don't look back

snug

how many times before never

and still today

junk

if time stood still

the dance of denial choreographed by death himself

what should and what should never be

soon enough...

I like it as is, but an idea for this image would be b/w, picking the channels for the conversion so that the three walls become clearly separated in values.

Jan Symank   {K:15755} 2/3/2004
Fantastic typical american impression
Perfectly composed. I like these kind of pictures !

MaryBell    {K:32791} 2/4/2004
perhaps crop a bit off the bottom to bring the billboard down to a third...If you crop definitely crop from the bottom we need the mood created by the space above...

definitely a strong image...

I like MaryBell's suggestion but love it as is too! Great architecture!

David Yates   {K:4698} 2/5/2004
Sandy- nice shot, which I see as social commentary- we sell the image of youth and beauty and sex, but deliver instead hopelessness and decay.
Maybe I'm just reading too much into this- but isn't that the point of a photograph?
Take care and stay warm.
Yours, D.

Ulf Fågelhammar   {K:10975} 2/5/2004
I love your vision here Sandy
Interaction between ads and the environment
can often create great photos
Very good
And I think even more perfect if you had
taken a few steps to the left
Best to you
/U

WOW! Ruid! Like 2nd World War! All big cities have ruid buildings that they are very nice for shoting. Nice colour composition. Nice mood of sadness. Well you give me a nice idea because we have also many many buildings very ruid.....some also without....walls!!! :) I can fix a scane also like War zone! Very good shot.

Hakan Aker   {K:14146} 2/8/2004

Each window has a room. Each room has a view. Where you walk has a view. Makes me wonder how great it would be to set up a studio in one of those rooms up there.

sandy c. hopkins   {K:17107} 4/1/2004
mark, as brave as i am or pretend to be..i would not step foot in that building!
hehee
unless i had about 5 people with me. you never know what or who you could run into.

i have heard scary stories about abandoned buildings...even the ones downtown..

you are right though..it would be grand!
