Yasou Giannis, urgh this insect is horrible. When I was in Greece, I was in in bed and heard a scratching above my head. When I put the light on I saw a silver locust almost the size of my hand smiling at me. I didn't know what to do I was so frightened it would jump, so I sprayed it with hairspray until it froze! haha!

Your macro capture is brilliant, the details are wonderful, but I hate this creature I'm sorry hahaha!

Cherie

Good clean shot with nice DOF. Is this a significant crop of the original or is the insect really huge? Good surface to capture it on - the high key look is nice here.

Jim Loy   {K:24171} 2/14/2004
Giannis, thanks for the comment on my summer flower shots...and when I saw this grasshopper...I had to dig up an old one of mine. Hey! The cousin of that grasshopper wants to say, "Hello!" from Illinois!

Jorg Reif   {K:16020} 2/14/2004
This ppoor guy is missing a leg and you noticed it. I like the amazing depth of field. But it looks away from us, so there is not much emotive force acting (except for the leg). Crop looks a liitle artificial to me, very tight framing. But overall very good.
