About Taken after doing some self-portraits. Jenny (my daughter) and Wolfie (my dog), were resting after a gruelling session with the camera! My own nit-pick with this photo, is the fact that I've cut off Jen's foot!

I love her expression, Sarah. The tonal quality of the picture is great. Very well done.

Sarah, once again you've captured a wonderful shot of Jenny, being just a little girl. Keep up the good work.

Ha. I was just going to comment on the chopped foot when I read it in your "about" text. I'd try cropping Wolfie out completely, coming right up to the top of her left (lower) wrist -- just above the sleeve cuff.

But then it wouldn't be a photo of your two favorite people. ;-)

Thanks for all the great comments.

Sarah, An avid fan of the Jenny series, I was happy to see this one. I see it as sort of a youthful version of Auguste Rodin's "The Thinker". Good exposure. All the wrinkles and folds make it feel comfortable and relaxed, and yet her posture and expression make her look...dignified...too. I like the butterfly and loose threads on her jeans ...they hint at the child behind the adult expression. I can almost see her breaking from that expression into a mischevious grin and running around the house at full speed. Pretty neat!

I like her facial expression, especially in relationship with the dog's. Good range of tones and composition.
