Thank you for your comment on my "Violet on violet". Unlike you, I kept trading my used (I don't want to use the word "old" because most of my used gear was practically new) cameras etc. for the latset ones. Now I have a Fuji Finepix S7000 & being 74 next week, I think it will be my last aparatus.
Thanks for showing your self-portrait. If you want to see mine, you will have to go to www.drspringmann.com & there, among other thing, is my photo of about 10 years ago.

We seem to be similar ages... nice to meet you! Thanks for looking at my photos of Windsor village. It IS a nice old village, but the presence of the Queen's castle means that thousands of tourists visit it. Last year I and my three sons visited it!

Unlike you, I have owned many, many cameras over the years, but I usually trade the old one in when I buy the a one. I prefer film to digital, and wide-angle lenses to telephoto.
