I'm old enough to wince and think, wow, hasn't she heard of skin cancer? But that's youth and physical beauty, I guess. When you have both, you don't want to think that one day you'll have neither. Your photo captures the texture of that sunburned skin so well it's almost tactile! Did you get her coming back, too? (I'd like to see the face...)

Paul Ragone   {K:1331} 2/10/2004
Let me get this straight. I am over here taking as many pictures as I can before my fingers freeze and you're over there taking pictures like this. Something is definitely not fair about that ;) Great shot Roger.

Wonderful b&w toning. Great composition and perspective. I love the lighting on the girl, it reflects of her sun burned skin.

Bertram Schacherer   {K:3563} 2/11/2004
This one belongs to the top flyers of your portfolio (Three Faces is another one) .
Her skin is fascinating and you caught it well in front the rough rocks ! The whole composition is perfect for me, the nice tones and contrasts make it perfect.
Nice view for someone sitting in a cold wet european winter 500mls away from all beaches !

175 views so far... vibrant, contrasty B&W photos with good tonal range are always popular aren't they...? :)

- PS: lol about Melbourne, Byron would be a great UseFilm location... perhaps you should organise a "rebel" get together

Marcus Armani   {K:35777} 2/16/2004
