It's nice to meet new friends, thanks for your notice of my sunflowers. I'm going to have to try this on a self portrait, it might soften my wrinkles, er I mean laugh lines (I laugh a lot). I noticed your comment about going digital. I've gone in reverse, from digital to film. But I always pull the digital out again when I want to have fun or am going for a special effect that is easier to capture in Photoshop. Very creative touch here, I like it.

Hi Lori,very pleased to meet you!!! First of all let me thank you for your kind comments,the appreciation is mutual. Although I've had digital cameras for a few years,I had never dreamt about fiddling with post-processing effects in PS, with the exception of the usual slight retouch due to the scanner's flaws as I was VERY traditional.... but after 4 months on this site I was kind of forced to change my mind which reminds me I ought to change my autobiography :0) After all why not??? It's fun and lets you explore other sides of photography.
This eleboration of yourself is extremely well done and also very feminine,congrats!

But thought I'd let you know how much I'm enjoying your photographs--very much! This is a most unusual self-portrait but I think I would recognise those eyes again! I love the way the skin tones spread throughout the picture, echoed in the jacket and the walls... technically very assured. But then you are a pro!
