Great Work!

EXCELLENT sports shot! -- nice job! -- Did you have a type of polarizer filter on with so much light being reflected from the snow?

Joe McCary   {K:3235} 2/12/2004
I tried a polarizing filter, but there was no effect other than to reduce the light.

Joe: The deciduous tree in the background makes me think this somewhere east of the Rockies. I could be wrong. In any case, it's a neatly caught moment in a very fast sport. How's the D2H treating you?

I hope to be able to do some of these soon as I've ordered the new Canon 1D MarkII. Then I'll really see what a Canon can do.

Joe McCary   {K:3235} 2/26/2004
Fred, the image was made in Maryland's Wisp Ski resort. And the D2H is a wonderful camera. I have long been a Nikon digital user. But the Canons are sure fine cameras as your images have shown! That new Canon should prove to be a screamer for sure, I just bet you will find it a plus for your work.
