About This is a friends pond. It was slightly foggy that morning, giving the pond a softened look. There were no filters used or adjustments made to this photo.

Although I tend to use PS as a crutch a bit too much, I really do appreciate unaltered images, and this is certainly one of them. The fog is subtle, but add a nice ambient richness to the photo. The exposure is great too - the white sky doesn't overpower the rest of the shot. I like the composition, though perhaps I would have crouched lower to the ground and tilted up a bit to include the tops of the trees. :)

Actually, I have a shot that I took from lower to the ground, with the trees in it. The problem then was that the inside of the boat did not show, and I liked that feature of the photo. A wider lens would have been nice. Someday...

Thank you all for your comments. I am really enjoying being on this site! (I was on another similar site for a year and now it has been overrun by teens taking 'photos' with their phone cameras.)
