About Took the ISO from 640 to 500, opened the aperture to f/1.4, and captured this photo (w/ minimal cropping) of a Stanford gymnast from Friday night. Personally, I like what appears to me to be more of a 3-dimensional effect over many of the other photos I took that night (most of my shooting was ISO640 and f/1.6), but for me it is awful tough to differentiate these sorts of details while at a shoot? Any expert guidance out there???? Shooting suggestions?

Mark:

As you know, I AINT'T no expert, and know very little of all
the technical aspects of photography. So I'll say this as a friend
who enjoys your work. Maybe you're being to hard on yourself. Most of
your shots IMO are extremely good enough to be pro ------which I'm not.
This one is no exception. Very well done.

Keep it up
David

You got a fast lens and you know how to use it very well.
In a split second you even managed to compose the subject perfectly.
My advise is: please advise us :)

I been looking through all your gymnastics shots, they're all wonderful. I like this one especially, it's very sharp and framed perfectly. Very nice work.
