What I like most in this photo is the casual look of the prints which, together with the vivid colours, makes for a dynamic and very beautiful image.
I wonder for what kind of fiber work your wife used (or is still using) these particular prints.

Lovely prints, but the photo feels simply snapshot documentary rather than going to a separately artful level, perhaps due to the low angle that creates a perspective, and hence increasing the distance between us and the subject.
