About Since late December we have a couple of Aymara Parakeets, this is Yupanka, the male.
Aymara Parakeets have the size of a budgy and have their origin in South Bolivia and North Argentina.

Hi Chris, my pet greets yours ;-) Lovely how playful Yupanka looks! The way he holds the "string" looks like he's singing anf holding the microphone! :-) Great job!

Love the shot, but I find the blue line very distracting. Lou

Thanks Jenni,

interesting fantasy ... Yupanka, the Rock'n'Roller :-)

BTW ... Aymaras are as playful as budgerigars. He tried to open the knot at this small plait of bast ... at the other end is a small bell.

Greetings from Germany

Chris

Wow,

many new comments, since I wrote the answer to the first one ... thanks!

@Lou:
I like the color contrast the line gives ... btw ... it's a painting in the background.

Greetings from Germany

Chris

This is one breed of parakeets that I have not seen! Great detail in the feathers also! Good job on capturing your little pet!
Lori :)

I have one of my 'feathered friends' on my site also!

Thanks Lori,

yes, Aymaras are very seldom ... in the US they are better known as "Sierra Parakeets".

Greetings from Germany

Chris
