Really a wonderfull no not wonderfull, Superb macro photo. I am busy photographing macro flowers too, this is really a great example of the level i want to reach to! Superb photo!

and thank you for your comment on my photo....btw..I use some different effect from my scanner for create abstract photo, some twirl and disort effect....It take some time to get result...but I like doing such things and try to make different abstract image..:)

Another technique I love... the dry brush filter! The colours are amazing (thank goodness for Velvia!) and I love your composition with the tints of orange framing the flower. We shoot very similar things, as my portfolio is filled with flower macros and landscapes! hahahaha
The original is good as well, but it's lacking the painterly effect that I love so much in your posted version.

I would say you acheived your objective beautifully! IF I saw a print of this I would swear it was a true watercolor. The application of your technique raises this to the level of true art. Stunning!
