its grizzly here in winter..
the girls voice was gruff. the cold had its grip on her throat.

walking for more cigerettes
with her friend. and this odd car which did not belong. what are they doing now, she asked him.

who cares..he shrugs with a smug look.
that smug look irritated her. she kept walking.

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91033} 2/23/2004

This is a great shot sandy...

Andy Simmons   {K:7704} 2/23/2004
Great shot. But if you are going to write in the noir style, shouldn't this be in B&W;) I really do think this a marvelous shot. It feels cold.

Amna Al Shamsi   {K:20822} 2/23/2004
Excellent capture and story.

Rhonda Prince   {K:17663} 2/23/2004
Excellent Sandy, is it part of a longer story! Impressive!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 2/23/2004
These photos really are a good complement for stories. It would be great to see a longer piece and a continuum of photos to go along with it.

Eduardo Bernardes   {K:8999} 2/23/2004
Perfect work!
My best regards, Eduardo

Roger Cotgreave   {K:15892} 2/23/2004

Joshua Rainey   {K:5069} 2/23/2004
You are quite and interesting one there Sandy. Once again, great shot, only you...

David Warren   {K:3080} 2/23/2004
A bit too much contrast Sandy. Also the buildings to the right are a little pixelated. Otherwise, good shot.

Nedim Muhic   {K:13844} 2/24/2004
Ha, what contrast - old building and new car.
Is it story issu in Michigan Avenue Dearborn?
This pictures can be see in Dearborn.
Regards, Nedim.

Orazio Minnella   {K:46645} 2/24/2004
Wonderful shot.Well composed with great tones, light and lights.
Regards.

Bradley Prue   {K:30312} 2/24/2004
The tarnished street mirrors the tarnished character of those who's hands provide. Very similar to many of the Baltimore streets that I see every day. Fight hard, for what you love.

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 2/24/2004
Gritty and urbane.

B:)liana    {K:30945} 2/24/2004
wow.. wonderful.. great.. contrast modern old dear Sandy. Love it very much

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 2/24/2004
Sandy, I like the contrast in the photo; the neglected, destructed building versus the shiny new car. The story below gives a slightly different mood than the photo expresses in the first glance, but does add a sense of incompassion, which also fits perfectly. Very moody photo... and a completely uninviting atmosphere. Well captured, my compliments..

Roy Vanover   {K:13762} 2/24/2004
Sandy,
A great real life shot!
Roy

Monty Emken (Ostracon X)   {K:4804} 2/24/2004
Sometimes you've got to drive a good long way out of your comfort zone to get a good plate of hash browns.

Believe me, I know....

Hugo Pierre   {K:15692} 2/24/2004
Special and interesant composition. Very well done. Compliments! Regards, hugo.

Pedro Libório   {K:53855} 2/24/2004

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 2/24/2004
Sandy, these street shots of your are getting better and better
This one is great in every way but the places where you take this kind of shot don't look quite safe to me so, as Gayle already said, be careful!
I like the little story you added
Superb work, my friend!

marissa molinaro   {K:157} 2/24/2004
lovely narrative and photo. i also enjoy photos with words to expand it.

Eric Peterson   {K:4210} 2/24/2004
Very nice composition. I really like the juxtaposition of the new car with the burned out building in what appears to be a rather seedy area. Including the sign advertising "fine food" in the frame just adds the crowning irony.
Eric

Ivan N. Prgonjic   {K:3038} 2/24/2004
I hope you were not affraid to go over there and take this great shot? Nicely done Sandy :))

Linda Motyka   {K:540} 2/25/2004
Sandy, well done in composition and exposure. Overall mood - sends a tingle up my spine! Be careful girlfriend!

Ricardo Villagran   {K:2558} 2/26/2004
I love your pictures and the stories you create... regards, R

Lex Bronkhorst   {K:14152} 2/26/2004
This is a real beauty. The house makes you wonder, what happend back there. The picture is made mysterious, the black car, the smoke parts on the house. And not to forget the really dark sky, the rainclouds, this makes it a realy mysterious photo. Looks on the picture like a place you don't want to walk in the middle of the night. Great capture!
Greets, Lex

Hakan Aker   {K:14146} 2/27/2004
Same as Ricardo

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 3/18/2004
