when all else fails eat the daisy

further than one would ever think

on the broken path

at the peak of the bottom

devour

she's so square

when it all comes down

this woman she moves me
although she is rarely moved herself.

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 2/25/2004
A rather disturbing environmental portrait which engenders more questions than it answers.

David Warren   {K:3080} 2/25/2004
Great shot. a lot of mood going on. she seems almost upset.

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184981} 2/25/2004
Hi Sandy! Quite a confronting portrait; probably because the centered composition and the prying eyes of the woman. Nice backlight, and very well exposed. Don't think you used a fill flash, (maybe a spotlight on the right? Anyway, the lighting is excellent, as is the Depth of Field. Well done, a very intense portrait.

Cheers,

Hugo

Once again... the story is in the eyes!
Wonderful capture...
:):)

MaryBell    {K:32791} 2/25/2004
I agree with Richard - you catch the mood so incredibly well...

Shwan Taha   {K:8} 2/25/2004
This is a good portrait. Gongrats...

Roy Vanover   {K:13762} 2/25/2004
Sandy this is So Strong! Her eye's burn right through me.
Perfect framing, lighting, exposure and expression. Perfect 10
Truly Awesome,
Roy

Bradley Prue   {K:30312} 2/25/2004
It's the knot. The knot says it all. The knot knows. The knot scares me, for it knows too much.

Pedro Libório   {K:53855} 2/25/2004
...quite impressive...
I would say...intense...
regards.

Michael Grace-Martin   {K:10283} 2/25/2004
Very interesting "Americana" type of portrait. No offense to the person intended, but the face looks like an "amalgamation"--like it represents more than one person or even sex. You're truly a font of interesting character studies!..:)

Rhonda Prince   {K:17663} 2/25/2004
Sorry about the email, I'll send a better when the scanner is fixed. This portrait is well captured. It's the look in her eyes that she sees you but she doesn't. As your title suggests, neither quite here not there.

Richard Marriner   {K:6657} 2/25/2004
Another interesting portrait Sandy. Your use of (real) :) lighting is coming along nicely.

Christian Wettergren   {K:1333} 2/26/2004
Hi Sandy,
this is awesome - what a strange feeling this picture has.
Great! The dog adds disturbing feeling, and the lady's eyes.

Cool!
-Christian

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 2/26/2004
I think Richard said it well. Gotta love that dog peeking out behind her - a little comic relief from the severity of her gaze.

Orazio Minnella   {K:47053} 2/26/2004
Great portrait.Wonderful light and excellent composition.
Orazio

Lex Bronkhorst   {K:14152} 2/26/2004
Woow what an expression on the face of the women. She gives me the creeps. A really hard glace on the face. Wonderfull expression caught in this picture. (this look, is it for the picture or is it always this way?) Looks like she is a bit noddy!!
Greets, Lex

Ana Vianna   {K:15270} 2/26/2004
She is looking at your camera but her eyes say that she is far...very far! What does she thinks??? Good work, Sandy! Regards!

Randy Lorance   {K:24958} 2/27/2004
This is such a weird and cool photograph, I don't know what to say. If I said she sure looks eccentric and could be from that movie where they killed visitors to turn them into sausage for sale, what if she turned out to be your mother or sister? But I'm sure she's very nice and she listens to polka music on her radio with her stuffed doggy........Randy

Roger Cotgreave   {K:15892} 2/27/2004
now that is one interesting face, I love the outfit and the room, infact its bloody good all over...r

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 2/27/2004

John Hatziemmanouil   {K:40580} 2/28/2004
Sometimes even the unexpretion is an expretion. Well my bad english don't help me lot to say to you sometimes some ideas. This one looks pretty emotional.

Jan Symank   {K:15755} 3/1/2004

Trish McCoy   {K:20979} 3/11/2004
ok this has no emotions flowing through the women, that it's a work of art. I bet she would have a ton of stories to tell the world about life.

kita mcintosh   {K:18594} 6/29/2004
jesus...spooky...surreal face! fantastic!
