Chris, I can't remember exactly what I said in my comment that got lost with the previous version of this shot, except that I waffled a bit about my own fondness for early morning mist and shots of trees taken against the light. I took several the winter of last year but have not been so lucky with mists and timing this year. I do love this combination, and envy you your skies. This shot of yours is a beautiful example, one to treasture. I can't imagine why Japanese skies are usually so bland. Oh yes, I think I said I would have liked to see a little more shadow detail in the foreground, but it isn't bothering me so much now. Perhaps that was one of the things you tweaked? This has been a funny Sunday for me, only getting to my own church in time for the fellowship meal. I had planned to attend another local church (I've been asked to handle ecumenical liaison), but their service was at a different time, so I missed out completely. A very odd, incomplete feeling!

Hi Chris; a beautiful-- even stunning-- sunrise composition. The trees and low fog add so much. Very nice shot. Cheers. Craig
