About Habana Central. WHAT'S WRONG W/THIS PHOTO?
I Can't pin it down, it seems to have the possibilities of greatness but somehow it's off. Is it the shadows on the left, should I crop off that side. Maybe it lacks critical depth. Is the sun to strong making for wahed out color and contrast? I myself have doubt's or am I being over critical. It has not been manipulated to enhance it except for minor cropping. Suggestions welcome.

The colors seem to be dull .. also perhaps cropping in somewhat .. and darker .. play with the image and see what you can get. I made some changes -- hope ya don't mind. My version is my own - everyone sees a scene differently - no one version is better than the next - only different.

Interesting motif. The name ... and no one man. (I agree Kevin comment) By.

Thanks for the comment on my most recent self-portrait. I played with your picture to see what I could come up with. I don't think that the shadow on the left is the problem, I think that it is the bright highlights on the right. I also think that the contrast is too high so the difference between the highs and lows makes it too hard to do anything with. Check out my version even though its not as good as the original in my opinion...

I like all the shadows, add interest. But with the sun that bright I think the faded paint lacks color and contrast. It has great possibilities and I think increasing the contrast and saturating the color would help a lot.
