About I wish the background was not there, but I just find this mood so cute. The concentration and the cute way he's holding that paintbrush.

Richard Marriner   {K:6657} 3/11/2004
It is very cute, sweet moment. Given that he's painting, I kind of want to see the colours of what he's created (maybe selectively?), but the B&W tonal treatment here focuses attention on the facial expression and movement of the hands which is the main subject anyway.
- congrats on 4th place... lol hehe :)

Subhash Sen   {K:11460} 3/11/2004

Elena Zabelina   {K:23212} 3/12/2004
What a wonderful moment! He is so busy and cute...Why not a color? I think, it will be even more great if we can see his colorful painting. Warmest regards, my friend.

What a lovely moment that you captured so well, my dear Kristina!
Excellent lighting, details and grays. It's not easy to take a shot in the bathroom without unwanted reflections from the tiles! Congrats! ..... Lucas

Graham Mulrooney   {K:16868} 3/12/2004
A marvelous completely natural picture with great composition. I think the background fits well with the activity but a neutral grey would be better. What an excellent family album you must have with all these great shots.
Best regards,
Graham.

Bill Ciavarra   {K:10183} 3/12/2004

Stephen Rogers   {K:3277} 3/12/2004
Great capture. To me, these are the best subjects. I love looking and trying to figure out what they are thinking. I would like to see this as a B&W image with the paint on the canvas in color. Just playing with PS. But, this is the best form of the image and taken from the heart.

Dan Lightner   {K:12684} 3/12/2004
The exposure on this picture is perfect most excellent work Kristina

Roger Cotgreave   {K:15892} 3/12/2004

Diana Wiersma   {K:26404} 3/13/2004
Hi Kristina,
This is such a great capture. It reminds me of my own childhood, when I was always experiencing with paint. I like the expression of concentration on his face, looking at the paint.... not knowing wich color he should take.
Greetings,
Diana.

Lori Stitt   {K:74568} 3/13/2004
Very nice image, Kristina! Wonderful expression on his face, along with his body language is absolutely priceless! With this subject, believe me, the background doesn't matter!! In fact, it's just fine the way it is. Beautiful lighting and composition. I LOVE IT!!

Lori :)

Steven H   {K:7142} 3/15/2004
You're right about the background, but I didn't even see it till I saw your note . . . I focused, as your note goes on to say, on the unparalleled concentration and attention of childhood on the pleasure at hand . . .

Burak Tanriover   {K:16604} 3/16/2004
excellent composition Kristina.

. .   {K:1787} 3/16/2004
You captured a very nice expression/moment. Yes a omogeneus background and a lower point of shot could be better but no matter. regards

Darling photo! He looks so intent on what he's doing. I like the background, it made me smile; it's the perfect place to clean up. I know how messy these beginning artists can be. I think the background goes with the overall photo. Just my opinion. :) He's so cute! Excellent capture!
Carolyn
