Well seen! Nice shadows you captured on the wall. Why not crop it to just the wall? That way the attention is drawn towards the subject, and right now i'm a bit distracted by the two cars.

I like the low saturation here it works well, and i like the concept of I dont know what the hell is going on.

Great color and composition JP.

Just wondered how you decided on the Autocord (I'd never heard of it, but this shot is very impressive.) Did you consider other MF cameras?

JP Zorn   {K:533} 3/26/2004
Wanted an inexpensive entry into MF. Was afraid to go the route of a SLR (more expensive and generally requiring a tripod because of the mirror shake). Decided to go TLR - although I eventually wouldn't mind a Mamiya 6 (better lenses, light meter, etc.). Looked at reviews and for the money the Autocord seemed to be the best bet. The optics are pretty good - no light meter though - and I saw it referred to as the next best thing to a Rolleiflex TLR. The other cheaper TLR I was looking at was the Yashicamat 124. They have become pretty popular though and a Rolleiflex or Mamiya would be better at a higher price.

Thanks JP. I've held the Mamiya SLR (but hadn't thought about the mirror...thanks) and the Seagull TLR, seen the Yashica and Rollei on ebay. But I really hope you enjoy the Minolta. Don't know if I'd have the patience to go back to a camera without a built in light meter (although when I think about it, I'm using a Woca without one :-).

very graphical, specially by shadows. A great suburban scenario: for a film maybe. GREAT.
