About Still cold outside, although Spring is there. There is a single flower, almost blossoming in my garden. We call it a "narcis".

Hi Diana,

I really like your photograph! First thing I noticed was the wonderful detail! And the toning on this image is great, so softly colored. I also like your composition. You did a great job in composing this image!

Lori :)

Nice detail and good use of DOF to isolate the subject. I feel like I could reach out and touch it and know what it would feel like. Great composition and unusual lighting.

Superb macro, Diana!
A real taste of Spring.
Aren't flowers beautiful? All those petals so neatly folded, all ready to burst open and add a little more colour to our world.
Have a great Sunday.
Kind regards, Chris

Hi Diana, really nice. I like the way the sun appears to be in the background but there is still a lot of light on the foreground of the "narcis". The shading of the stem with the lighting from the side is beautiful. At first i thought "what a pity about the other stem being too much in focus" but now i think it is necessary and i wouldn't change it. SUPER! All the best from Switzerland, Neil

Diana, je ebt er een rustige compositie van gemaakt. Ook de frame en de achtergrond passen er perfect bij
De lente is aan gebroken, dus dat wort weer genieten.

Very strongly built along the diagonal lines and the breaking angles. Excellent DOF with precious details on the bud. The spot of light in the UR plays a great part - it may be the sun (or a reflection) that is wakening the flower.

Jimmy Payne   {K:21163} 3/29/2004
Beautifully done photograph, Diana. Thank you for your comment on my red and yellow tulips shot. I really appreciate the advice you gave me on this one. It will help me take better shots in the future.
Best wishes,... Jimmy

Well this was especially beautiful. Congratulations to such a fine image. I might have done something about the leaf on the left, but not a big influence here.

Gregory Fiedler   {K:15447} 4/20/2004
Diana, Beautiful image, I simply adore the highlight of the greenery in the back ground, fine depth of field. Wonderful spring portrait.

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 5/8/2004
The composition is a little unusual and arresting. The bright highlight suggests the sun, even though it may not be.

Nedim Muhic   {K:13850} 5/9/2004
