Very interesting concept Emgy, you could have fooled me by telling it was sellery or some other crop. Very nice effect, the moire lines caused by the texture of the textile from the umbrella makes it even more abstract. Congratulations, my friend. Rob.

From the thumbnail, I thought it was parsley on sticks of celery...  I still think it looks like chopped parsley but can see the umbrella now. Great imagination at work Emgy, making something out of such an obscure scene.

looks like it is all falling ....interesting shot and colors, I think when you get the hang of your 100mm you will get much deeper shots. 28-135 does macro...I think it is a good alround lens I am very happy with it. This is what I would buy the 28-135, 17-40 and 70-200 F4 or the F2.8 if you need the extra light. Gino does alot with his 70-200 f2.8 fantastic clear shots but I very big lens. I have all three of the above and they are very very good lenses...rog
PS you can take macro with the 70-200 when fully zoomed, I haven't tried it.

I wish you hadn't told us what you did here so I could spend the rest of my life trying to figure it out. :) With most of your abstracts it's not that they simply look like something else, it's more that they have a sense of being an "entire" something else.......like a different universe, but one we still think we understand because some parts of it seem to be familiar. In this one maybe some of the elements resemble the products of a garden, but what the viewer really gets is a sense of something like a vast agricultural enterprise instead, and one that is both alien and recognizable at the same time.....a slightly altered reality. Emgy....this one is damn good!!
