Beautiful composition, I like the way the two sunflowers stand out from the rest, and the soft strokes of clouds that have been brushed in the sky. Simply beautiful.

John this is a award winning picture you deserve
an perfect 7 and I gave it a 7 but If I could I would rate it much higher than that congrats John

Agreed completely with Charisse . . . . gorgeous in all respects. . . . print and sell it to those others who appreciate beauty and talent.

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 4/7/2004
Absolutely gorgeous. Splendid composition, colors, clouds...They don't allow a ranking higher than 7, or I would have rated MUCH higher also.

Great shot, John! Well worth all the plaudits it's so far received.
If I had one minor quibble it would be that on my monitor, (flat screen iMac), the greens look a tad too yellow.
Superb image nonetheless.
Kind regards, Chris

John this is a awesome display of the dof that I'm trying to achieve.
Your focal front to back is tack sharp.
Well done.
Thank you very much for your tips on my photo, I have been reading allot about photragrpy and there is so much to read and learn.
You comments on the rule of thumb for maximum dof will be applied when I shoot next time.
I'm overwhelmed by all the fantastic tips I have received from usefilm users. I'm printing them out so I don't forget them.
As for the make over on my image....WOW
I don't understand all you did to this image but I must say you took a flat looking image and made it wall hanger.
So much to learn.
Again Thank You
Lee

A striking image.

Wowza!! This is beautiful. I love the colors you've captured as well as the sweep of the clouds. Your eye gets pulled to the back by the flowers and hills and then back to the front as you follow the lovely flowing lines of the clouds.
