Wow! Beautiful shot, and a perfectly strong atmosphere! I like this one alot. Must've been very difficult to focus. It's a tad unsharp, but I think that only adds to the atmosphere you've created. Great shot, Stefan!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hugo - with this little camera you simply guesstimate the focal distance and click away. Not sure if the original was a little off or if it is the scan, probably a little of both...

Scotland's a beautiful place. Unfortunately it has been a long time since I visited last... These slides are about 10 years old.

Great mood!
Kita, I didn't know you had a B&B! It is in Inverness?

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 4/9/2004
Very nice, Stefan. I like how the trees frame the pictures. Is this out of focus or did you add some blur? The road on the LHS is very importand for that picture; more details would increase the impact of the image IMHO. Good colors and a great mood. Nice work! Cheers! Carlheinz

No, didn't add any, it's all natural :-) Guessing it is in the slide, although none of the 30 odd slides I scanned last night are tack sharp. This little camera had good optics, but something is missing.

Dark is good and mysterious here, I think. Besides, what did you expect Scotland to be like? :-)

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 4/10/2004
I found that Scotland can be all kinds of things, but this is definitely one of them :-)

Dina Marie   {K:1717} 4/11/2004

Yes, it?s a bit dark, but this adds a mystical mood to the image, I like those clouds in the background, they give me a sense of danger; it?s a very beautiful house, it seems also very comfortable. Thanks fo your comment. Bye Max

Kim Culbert   {K:36887} 4/15/2004
ooohhhh, I like the spookiness of this one... on the surface it looks like a cute little cottage, but I know better! The windows are darkened, the sky gloomy... the weeds growing up to the front door! (okay, I have been reading too much Stephen King lately!) But I think this is really cool! A strong shot that emits powerful energy. I can't wait to see more landscapes out of you!

I love the dark and moody atmosphere, very expressive !
