That blue contrasts so nicely with the brown pine needles. Excellent photo. Normally you see the background blurred through DOF and this shot wouldn't have been the same.

John, I had trouble deciding which of your images to comment on, they are all really nice. I like your style a lot. This one especially jumped out at me, the color is fantastic and the composition.
